"Hello world! My name is Christian Kaulius. I am a graduate of the 5 year B. Arch program at Philadelphia University, a music enthusiast, and a thinker."

My passions in design include sustainability,  digital fabrication, responsive design, interactive design, and experimental design.   During this past year at Philadelphia University, I focused on generative design processes and how architecture can interact with people and its context.  I learned how to code in both Rhinoscript and Processing, and learned how to control an Arduino microcontroller.  Although experimental in its nature, this work has allowed me to explore the limits (or lack of limits) of form and how I can take a design out of the digital realm and into the physical.  It has also provided me with an understanding of the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and the positive impact  it has on architecture.  In the future, I hope to combine my knowledge of technology and sustainability to push the limits of design and create new solutions. In my free time from school, I participate in the Philadelphia chapter of the Living Building Challenge (LBC), attend musical performances, read, enjoy long walks in nature, and go wherever my curiosities may lead me!
